Gwen Comley Lentz has lived in Paducah, KY, for over 60 years. At the insistence of her daughter, she began writing stories of her childhood and, after filling three loose-leaf notebooks, bought a computer and wrote this book. Paducah is about 250 miles from Pollard (as the crow flies.) However, the distance from Gwen's life in early 20th century Pollard to her life in early 21st century Paducah can't be measured.
