This is a story of an Air Force pilot who spent time in the Korean war. You will fly with him during air combat and experience him being shot down, his time as a POW and rescueHe was sent to Hawaii for rehabilitation, which lasted for over a year. Without the support and encouragement of his Japanese friend and daughter might have died. After getting married in Hawaii he returned to Illinois where he lived a life full of happiness until a tragic event took place. Trying to recover, he took his daughter to Hawaii and Japan to show her where he had spent so much time. While there taught and showed her history and culture. The events that took place changed his life completely and gave him the happiness he truly deserved. This story has been in my mind for over forty years. A couple of years ago I wrote a short story and many wanted me to make it a series or complete it as a novel. About five months ago at age 86 I decided to give the novel a try. Writing a book for the first time was truly a challenge, but somehow I managed to get through it. When I saw the book 1 was overwhelmed with happiness. We will all have challenges during our life, but it's how we handle them, which will determine what our future holds. Life is what you make it
