AS IT WAS WRITTEN Jack Malone, ex Navy Seal, and professor of computer science in Houston as a passion for vintage wooden boats. He devotes two years of painstaking work to the restoration of his 80-foot yacht, the Lady Lu, that was built in 1937. His two sister (Barbara, a nuclear physicist, and Sara who has a PhD in finance) agree to spend their vacation time crewing for him as they take the boat to Newport, Rhode Island's annual boat show.
