The book is designed as a short critical introduction to the work of Pablo Picasso. It discusses his early paintings and the blue and rose periods, the beginnings of Cubism and the Demoiselles d'Avignon, Cubism, Picasso and the School of Paris, from the Vollard Suite to Guernica, and after Guernica.
