This is a story about, a small Dachshund named Doby, the author's granddog. Her three grandsons getting a new puppy, naming him and some of his adventures. After going on a visit with his family and staying too long in the woods, he has to find his way home, with the help of some new friends he has just met. Doby also has a story about going fishing. Doby is the pet of the author's son and his family.
