SINGLETARY ON SINGLETARY Born the 10th child to a Houston Pentecostal preacher and his wife, Singletary has always possessed a strong will to be the best at everything he does. Nicknamed "Samurai" by NFL players, he was once considered too small, too light, and too slow to be a big-time pro linebacker. He proved them wrong both in college (Baylor) and in the NFL (the fabulous Bears). He was NFL Defensive Player of the Year three times (8 consecutive Pro-Bowls) and was a part of that successful and crazy 1985 Bears team. While he discusses his life in football, this book is strong on his Christian faith and how it dominates his life. Singletary is still a role model. B&W action photo section.
